Project Linus is a wonderful program designed to bring comfort and love to children in need. Quilts and afghans are distributed locally to hospitals, women’s shelters, police and fire departments. The quilts bring not only warmth, but also the knowledge that someone cares.
There are many ways to help: on the second Saturday of each month, beginning at 10:30 AM we will have a sewing day at Expressions in Threads. We always have kits available to take home and work on. Looking for a chance to improve your quilting skills? Linus quilts are great for practicing! You can take home finished pieces to hand bind or you can make knitted or crocheted afghans. Donations of fabrics and yarns may be dropped off at the store any time.
